PURPOSE
This agreement creates clear expectations around effort, attitude, preparation, responsibility, and earned privileges.
It is a shared family agreement — not a punishment and not a performance contract.
LIFE COMMITMENTS
Jordan agrees to:
Make bed on school days
Put personal belongings away when asked
Be respectful and honest with family
ATHLETIC COMMITMENTS
Jordan agrees to:
Give strong effort in practices, games, and training
Maintain a strong attitude after mistakes
Reset after mistakes and go again
Complete agreed home exercises
Take care of sports equipment
PARENT COMMITMENTS
Parent / Guardian agrees to:
I will get you where you need to be
I will recognize effort separately from performance
I will keep my emotions under control after games
I will follow through on earned privileges
STANDARDS
We focus on what is controllable:
"Reset quickly after mistakes, prepare equipment before practice, and complete agreed extra work."
EFFORT & ATTITUDE
Effort and attitude are graded — not performance.
Consistent effort and attitude. No issues.
Needs attention. Worth a conversation.
Something is off. Pause and address it.
PAUSE
Stop and acknowledge what is happening.
DISCUSS
Talk about it without blame.
RESET
Agree on what changes and move forward.
This is a conversation, not a scorecard.
EARNED PRIVILEGES
Privileges follow responsibility and follow-through — not athletic results.
TIER 1 — STARTING / SIGNING PRIVILEGE
Choose a family-approved sports item or experience.
TIER 2 — COMPLETION MILESTONE
Choose a family outing or another agreed privilege.
REVIEW PLAN
Review athlete and parent commitments together.
KEEP
What is working — keep it.
CHANGE
What needs adjustment — change it.
RESET
What needs a full reset — reset it.
SHARED ACCOUNTABILITY
Nobody Wins Alone.
The athlete owns their effort and attitude. The parent owns their support, consistency, and follow-through.
